I am the scientific manager of the PFEM and my mission is to manage the team and the platform on one hand; and on the other hand, to carry out methodological developments in metabolomics as well as the to build pilot research projects to position metabolomics in systems biology.

 

Missions
Development of mass spectrometry-based analytical methods and bioinformatics tools for a better characterization of the first metabolic deviations associated with development of chronic metabolic diseases and to determine the relative contribution of the different determinants linked to these changes (part of the food): 

  • metabolic profiling using multiplatform approaches (UPLC/QToF, GC/ToF) to gain a broad coverage of the metabolites present in biofluids and tissues.
  • development of analytical strategies for biomarker identification using ultra high-resolution mass spectrometry and bioinformatics tools.
  • development of models and tools to increase knowledge extraction from high throughput data.
